CIPO’s goal is to build the capacity of IPs, and empower them to take the lead and own the development processes of IP communities in Cambodia.
CIPO exists to improve the well-being and rights of Indigenous Peoples (‘IP’) and to aid IP communities in sustainable development by strengthening IP’s sense of ownership to land and management of natural resources, supporting economic development, and aiding in the conservation of IP’s culture and traditions.
CIPO wants to see Indigenous Peoples (IP) with the capacity to pro-actively and responsibly promote their communities, living with dignity and as a permanent entity within the multicultural society of Cambodia.
